Upcoming Summer Local Events

Seaside Fiesta- 26th annual Seaside Fiesta, Thu, June 19, 5pm – 9pm

Kick off the summer season at the 26th Annual Seaside Fiesta from 5 – 9 p.m., Thursday, June 19, along Flagler Avenue, New Smyrna Beach. The Fiesta features entertainment, arts and crafts booths, food, games, music and more. Many of the Flagler merchants also feature special sales and activities. The Fiesta is co-sponsored by the City of New Smyrna Beach and the Flagler Avenue Merchants. Admission is free. Flagler Avenue will be closed to vehicular traffic at 3 p.m. A free park ‘n ride shuttle will begin at 4 p.m. Look for the directional signs to the lot. Surfari Club Surf & SUP Contest- Sat, June 21 & 22, 8am – 5pm

Catch a wave at this always-radical, family-friendly amateur surfing event on the beach in front of the Flagler Avenue Boardwalk, New Smyrna Beach. The surfing competition runs from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m., Saturday, June 21. The stand-up paddleboard races are from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m., Sunday, June 22. Meet some of your favorite pro surfers, get free surfing lessons and meet new friends while taking in the festive surroundings. The event is sponsored by the New Smyrna Surfari Club. Christmas in July- Sat, July 5, 10am – 5pm

The Canal Street Historic District will be the setting for Christmas in July from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m., Saturday, July 5, in the NSB Waterfront LOOP. Santa Claus will sport his summer vacation wear as he and his elf greet visitors in Christmas Park after the 3 p.m. holiday-themed bed race. The celebration will include music from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. and a scavenger hunt from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. and more. New Smyrna Shrimp & Seafood Festival- Thu, August 21, 5pm – 9pm
The 7th annual New Smyrna Beach Shrimp & Seafood Festival will be from 5-9 p.m., Thursday, August 21, along Flagler Avenue in the NSB Waterfront LOOP, New Smyrna Beach. More than 30 restaurants will compete for the “Best on the Beach” awards. They will offer taste sized portions of their specialties for $3 – $5. There also will be live entertainment. Flagler Avenue will be closed to vehicular traffic from 3-10 p.m. from Pine Street east to S. Atlantic Avenue. A free park and ride service will be available from the N. Monthly Recurring Events:

Art Walk / Gallery Stroll – Every 1st  Saturday of the Month Art Walk 10am-5pm/Gallery Stroll 4pm-7pm – The galleries located on Douglas and historic Canal Streets feature monthly solo and group exhibitions, artist talks and live music.  This event is free and has been a gathering spot for art lovers, patrons, and artists for many years. 

East Coast Cruiser Night -Every 2nd Saturday of the Month, 4pm to 8pm – A classic car show hosted by the East Coast Cruisers Car Club is held every second Saturday of the Month on Canal Street.  The street is closed to all vehicle traffic with the exception of the classic cars.  Fun for the whole family with a DJ, food, and shopping. 

 Wine Walk – Every 4th Saturday of the Month, 1pm to 7pm – Stroll Flagler Avenue and enjoy wine tasting with live music and many fine dining restaurants.  Passport tickets can be purchased at the corner of Cooper Street and Flagler Avenue.
